Specially designed bluebird houses, with predator guards on the entrance to keep out squirrels, raccoons, and competing birds, will give the bluebird a safe place to live and rear its young. Bluebird houses also provide a warm shelter on the coldest of nights. If there is sufficient food, bluebirds may stay all year. You can have more than one bluebird house but they must be spaced about 200 feet apart. These beautiful little songbirds do not like neighbors too close! |
